La Natividad Champion of the 128th Hurlingham Open

La Natividad made history, securing their first Triple Crown title with an outstanding performance in the 128th Hurlingham Open final. The team, led by Barto and Jeta Castagnola, Polito Pieres, and Nachi du Plessis, dominated RS Murus Sanctus, claiming victory 14-8.

This final was historic—not only for La Natividad’s triumph but because it marked the first time in 13 years and 38 finals that neither La Dolfina nor Ellerstina were in a Triple Crown championship match.

From the first chukka, La Natividad took control, showcasing their signature speed and precision. Jeta Castagnola, in exceptional form, led the scoring with 9 goals, making him the tournament’s top scorer with 31 total goals. Polito Pieres, securing his fourth Hurlingham title, was a constant offensive threat, while Barto orchestrated plays with his intelligence on the field. At the back, Nachi du Plessis provided rock-solid defense, shutting down RS Murus Sanctus’ attack.

Despite RS Murus Sanctus’ efforts, La Natividad’s dominance was undeniable. Their defensive pressure held their opponents scoreless in four chukkas, while their efficiency in attack kept them ahead throughout the match.

This victory was a family triumph for the Castagnolas, celebrated by Lolo and Camila, alongside Beni and Lola. With this win, La Natividad firmly established itself among polo’s elite, proving that the new generation has arrived—and they’re here to stay.
