In polo, as in life, everything starts and grows with family.
At La Natividad Polo, family isn’t just important. It’s the foundation.
A deep love for the sport runs through generations, shaping not only the way we play, but the way we live, dream, and build our future.
The roots of La Natividad trace back to Lolo Castagnola, a polo legend who, after years of competing at the highest level, decided to create something lasting: a team and a vision centered around family, hard work, and passion for the game. He passed down not just his skills, but his values, to his sons Camilo (Jeta) and Bartolomé (Barto) Castagnola — two of the most exciting players of the new generation.
La Natividad is truly a family business.
From the management of the organization, to the horses, to the training sessions that often feel more like family gatherings than formal practices, every part of the team is built around trust, loyalty, and shared purpose.
This spirit of family shines especially bright each year on May 15, International Family Day, a celebration of the bonds that shape who we are.
At La Natividad, we honor that day by remembering milestones like the 2016 Copa República, where a young Lolo led his sons onto the field, laying the foundation for the team they would later build together.
Polo is a sport that demands trust: between teammates, between riders and horses, between players and their instincts.
There is no better training ground for this trust than family itself.
Today, as La Natividad continues to grow, compete, and inspire a new generation of fans around the world, the Castagnola family’s commitment to excellence remains our guiding star. Success here isn’t measured only in trophies, it’s measured in the strength of our bonds, the lessons we pass on, and the memories we create together.
This May 15, we invite you to celebrate Family Day with us, whether you’re watching from the sidelines, cheering from abroad, or riding into your own dreams.
Because at La Natividad, family always comes first.
