Designing Identity: La Natividad’s Print for Argentina’s National Celebrations

At La Natividad Polo, our passion for Argentina is lived both on and off the field. This year, to celebrate the national holidays, we set out to create a print that would not only pay tribute to our country, but also connect with the style and identity of those who live polo with pride.

Inspiration rooted in history and meaning
The design process began by looking closely at our national symbols. We drew from classic elements of Argentine culture: from traditional university crests to collectible objects of historical value. Among them, the Argentine coin became a key starting point. Its design, rich in symbolism and memory, felt perfect for reinterpretation.

“Argentina” as the main statement
The first element we defined was the typography: the word “Argentina” appears in a wide, curved form, with a stroke reminiscent of institutional seals. We wanted it to feel strong and substantial, yet relaxed and urban at the same time. It’s a graphic that works just as well with jeans as with bombachas or riding trousers.

The crest: from currency to polo
Just below, the centre of the print is occupied by a crest inspired by the Argentine coin. Rather than reproducing it exactly, we transformed it: inside, classic elements coexist with references to the world of polo. It is a tribute to our sport—officially recognised in Argentina since 1953—and to its cultural significance. The crest blends history with our essence: horses, mallets, laurels and the La Nati aesthetic.

A design that brings together tradition and style
The print is available on 100% cotton sweatshirts and T-shirts, in colours that evoke our flag and the land: grey, blue, sky blue and military green. It’s a patriotic design, but also a cool one—created to carry the pride of being Argentine everywhere: on the field, in the stands or in everyday life.
